Paint protection film · Authorized STEK Installer

Protect your investment where the road hits first.

Clear STEK film over the panels that take the damage, installed in Randleman by an Authorized STEK Installer. Four coverage levels. Free quotes for your vehicle, fast.

What you get

The four coverage levels.

  • Partial front end

Front bumper, hood and mirrors. The three panels that get hit first.

  • Full front end

Adds the front fenders. The most common job in the shop, with no film line down the middle of the hood.

  • Full front end with Track Pack

Adds the rockers, lower doors and rear impact areas. For highway miles and anything low enough to pick up road spray.

  • Full vehicle

Every painted panel. For long term ownership and cars you intend to keep.

  • STEK DYNOshield

Glossy 8 mil film, hydrophobic and stain resistant, self healing on light scratches with heat or hot water.

  • Film and terms confirmed first

Which STEK film goes on your vehicle and what backs it is confirmed with you before any work starts.

On the record

Why an authorized installer matters.

STEK publishes its own installer directory, and Petty Shine is listed there at this address. Film is a sacrificial layer. It takes the chip so the paint does not, and film that has taken a hit is film doing its job.

Judson and his team were extremely professional throughout the entire process, from quoting and scheduling to the final inspection. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were outstanding. I would highly recommend Petty Shine for anyone looking for top-notch auto detailing and ceramic coating services.

Questions
  • Does film stop rock chips?

It takes them. Film is a layer thick enough to absorb an impact, so the chip lands in the film instead of the paint. Film that has taken enough hits gets replaced, and the paint under it stays original.

  • Which coverage level do I need?

Full front end is the most common job. Add the Track Pack if you drive a lot of highway miles or the car sits low. Full vehicle is for cars you plan to keep for years.

  • Does the film self heal?

Light scratches and swirls do, with heat or hot water. STEK's own FAQ says a scratch that goes through the topcoat will not.

  • What is the warranty?

STEK backs its film. The exact term for the film on your vehicle is confirmed with your quote, because we do not publish a term we have not verified for your car.
